Next Steps After Application At The University Of Rwanda

In today’s article we are going to discuss the next steps that follow after you have applied to the university of Rwanda and completed loan application. Make sure that you have applied to the University of Rwanda as shown in this article and you have also applied for loan as described here.

Please read carefully and understand the next steps and processes because they are all related to results publishing and processing of your admissions. Below is a table summarizing the next processes that will come after applications.

Release of admission results at the university of Rwanda for 2023 academic year

In the coming weeks the university of Rwanda will announce the results for all student who have applied for admissions of the 2023 academic year. The results come in a document called acceptance letter and the Results on that acceptance come in 3 answers namely:

1. Successful/admitted: this means that your admission status was successful and you have been granted what you have applied for at the university of Rwanda.

After you have been Selected you must confirm acceptance of admission offer by registering at the university of Rwanda. When you Fail to register on time this leads to losing the place which will be offered to other applicants on the waiting list.

2. Unsuccessful/Not Admitted: This means you were not admitted to the program of your choice.

After you find yourself not admitted you can reclaim by filling the form that the university of Rwanda releases. But this form, does not come always keep an eye on Thehuye.com for more info in the future.

3. Provisionally admission: This means that you got the program you did not apply for, for example you applied for pharmacy and they have given you agriculture in that case you will be provisionally admitted.

When you get provisionally admission there is a form you must submit called the consent form. You must fill it with a pen and sign it and then drop it to the nearest branch of the university of Rwanda.

NOTE THAT: It is very important to follow these rules because before registration you are not yet a student of the university of Rwanda yet. If you do not follow these rules carefully you might end up not getting admitted.

Release of loan results from HEC

After the results of the university of Rwanda are officially announced and before the registration at the university of Rwanda you must first check if you were granted a loan by HEC. To check if you were admitted by HEC in loan application you must go to a their website and insert your registration number and see your results. If you were not granted loan and meets all the requirements as described by HEC you can reclaim and fill the form and submit it to hec at kacyiru headquarters or to their email. Applications for Hostel

For students who want to be accommodated by the university of Rwanda that is to live in campus provided housing they do their own applications online which includes registering for where they would like to live.

Note That: Hostel are campus based meaning that getting a hostel depends on the campus you were allocated To. More on the hostel application process and hostel availability can be read in the following article.

Registration at the University of Rwanda academic year 2023

Registration is the step that confirms that you are an official student of the university of Rwanda and that you have successfully entered the system of registration.

As of today; At Registration, you are required to pay 60,000 Rwf which include; Registration and Administration Fees 50,000 Rwf; Medical Insurance: 7,000 Rwf; Life Insurance: 2,000 Rwf; Student Union Contribution: 1.000 Rwf.

After paying that amount to the specified bank account you can log in to your Online UR Student Portal and then do the registration. After registration you get a proof of registration which is a paper that confirms that you are an official student of the university of Rwanda.

Signing contract in MINUZA system and BRD loan processing

After all the procedures are complete you receive an email from the minuza system which tell you to create an account and sign contract between you and Brd minuza. If you did not receive the email please do not do the application. This place this is where you include you bank account on which you will receive your monthly stipend on.
