The Higher Education Council (HEC) wishes to inform the public that through the bilateral cooperation agreement, the Republic of Hungary (via the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme) has offered scholarships tenable in Hungary; commencing in the academic year 2023-2024 in the following courses: Material Engineering, Energy Engineering or Industrial Product and Design Engineering at Undergraduate/Masters/PhD levels; and scholarships at PhD/DLA level in any field of interest.
Interested candidates should submit the following application document:
- Application letter addressed to the Director General of HEC;
- A copy of National ID;
- One (1) recent passport size photo;
- Certified copy of high school certificate or equivalence qualification for undergraduate candidates;
- Certified copy of Bachelor’s Degree for graduate students;
- Certified copy of Master’s Degree for Doctoral students; Possession of IELTS with 6.5 score is an added advantage.

- The scholarships cover all tuition fees, accommodation, stipend allowance depending on level of study, medical insurance, and return ticket.
