The East African Christian College (EACC) in collaboration with The Ministry of Health in the framework of 4X4 Strategy is excited to announce a funded scholarship opportunity (Tuition Fees & Living Allowances for Midwifery Programs and Tuition Fee only for Nursing Programs).

Available Programs
Prospective candidates are invited to apply for the following programs:
- Bachelor of Science with Honors in General Nursing (A0)
- Advanced Diploma in General Nursing (A1)
- Bachelor of Science with Honors in Midwifery (A0) and
- Advanced Diploma in Midwifery (AI).
Application Period
From Friday February 9th, 2024, to Friday February 16th, 2024.
Tests
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an admission test on Wednesday, February 28th 2024.
Eligibility Criteria
For Bachelor of Science with Honors in General Nursing (Four Year Program) and Bachelor of Science with Honors in Midwifery (Four-Year Program):
- Two Principal Passes with at least Grade C in Biology and Chemistry.
- Completed general secondary education with one of the following principal subjects: Mathematics-Chemistry-Biology, Physics-Chemistry-Biology, Biology-Chemistry-Geography.
- A2 Nurse with a minimum of 70% and at least 2 years of work experience.
For Advanced Diploma in General Nursing (Three Year Program) and Advanced Diploma in Midwifery (Three-Year Program):
- Two Principal Passes with at least Grade D in Biology and Chemistry.
- Completed general secondary education studies with one of the following principal subjects: Physics-Chemistry-Biology, Mathematics-Chemistry- Biology, Biology-Chemistry-Geography.
- A2 Nurse with a minimum of Satisfaction and at least 2 years of work experience.
Admission Test and Selection process:
- Candidates who meet minimum admission requirements for above programs will sit for an admission test.
- Final selection of the scholarship beneficiaries will be based on the admission test score.
- Final selected students to benefit the scholarships will sign a contract agreement with MoH to ensure their absorption into the health system after their graduation of which they will be required to serve for a minimum period of time.
NOTE:
- Applications are invited from prospective candidates who meet the above eligibility criteria. However, only students who completed secondary school in the years preceding 2023 are eligible to apply.
- Those on the waitlist for MSH Ireme project for Midwifery program, do not have to re-apply and re-sit for admission test.
