The Institut Catholique de Kabgayi (ICK) is pleased to announce a funded scholarship opportunity (School fees only) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and USAID Ireme Project. Prospective candidates are invited to apply for the following program: Advanced Diploma in Midwifery (A1, Year-three program), commencing in January 2024.
Application Period: From 15th December 2023 to 22nd December 2023
Eligibility Criteria:
- Two Principal Passes with at least Grade D in Biology and Chemistry.
- Completed general secondary education studies with one of the following principal subjects: Physics-Chemistry-Biology Mathematics-Chemistry-Biology (MCB), Biology- Chemistry-Geography (BCG) (PCB),
- A2 Nurse with a minimum of Satisfaction and at least 2 years of work experience.
Admission Test:
Candidates meeting minimum admission requirements for both programs will sit for an admission test, the date of which will be communicated after the publication of eligible candidates.

Note:
- Ministry of Health in Partnership with USAID -Ireme project implemented by Management Sciences for Health (MSH), is implementing a Midwifery scholarship scheme to 4 institutions: East African Christian College, Institut Catholique de Kabgayi, Kibogora Polytechnic and Adventist University of Central Africa.
- Only student who completed secondary school last year 2021-2022 and the years before are eligible to apply.
- Only one application will be considered among 4 institutions (EACC, KP, ICK and AUCA). Applications should only go to one university. Candidates who will apply in more than one university will be rejected.
- Candidates who are interested in the scholarship scheme and have already applied for admission to one of the above said universities for the academic year 2023-2024 will be taken into consideration and will be eligible for the scholarship selection test.
- Scholarship selection test will be organized at the same day and same hour for all the 4 institutions under scholarship scheme.
